1. The Acolyte
The newest Star Wars live-action spinoff, The Acolyte, is set 100 years before the earliest movie prequels, at a time when Jedi are being murdered. Lee Jung-jae, the Emmy-winning lead of Squid Game, stars as Jedi master Sol, with Amandla Stenberg as his former student Mae. The cast includes Carrie-Ann Moss and Jodie Turner-Smith. Created by Leslye Headland, the series features martial arts and traditional lightsabers. 2. Queenie
Candice Carty-Williams adapts her bestselling 2019 novel for this series, largely shot on location in South London. Dionne Brown stars as Queenie Jenkins, navigating life after a breakup. The series, characterized by Queenie’s brash personality and frequent voiceover narration, features singer-songwriter Bellah and Samuel Adewunmi. Carty-Williams explains that Queenie’s story is inherently political, unlike Bridget Jones. Queenie premieres on 4 June on Channel 4 in the UK and on 7 June on Hulu in the US.
3. Fantasmas
Julio Torres’ new absurdist series Fantasmas follows his character Julio on a surreal search for a lost gold earring. The series, featuring over 20 guest stars including Paul Dano, Steve Buscemi, and Emma Stone, showcases Torres’ phantasmagorical imagination. Fantasmas premieres on 7 June on HBO and Max in the US.
4. Becoming Karl Lagerfeld
Daniel Bruhl stars as Karl Lagerfeld in this sumptuous French-language series covering Lagerfeld’s early career from 1972 to 1981. 5. Presumed Innocent

6. House of the Dragon
The second series of House of the Dragon continues the civil war for the Iron Throne between Rhaenyra and Alicent Hightower. 7. Land of Women
Eva Longoria stars and produces this dramedy about a family fleeing to Spain due to her husband’s financial crimes. Longoria’s character Gala, her daughter Kate, and her mother Julia, played by Carmen Maura, navigate life in a gossipy wine town. The series is available in both English and Spanish. Land of Women premieres on 26 June on Apple TV+ internationally.
8. The Bear
In season three, chef Carmy reopens his upscale restaurant, The Bear, aiming for culinary excellence while facing familial and professional stress. The returning cast includes Ayo Edibiri and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. The series continues to deliver its unique blend of tension and enjoyment. 9. My Lady Jane
